About the journal

Revue Roumaine d'Histoire de l'Art. Série Beaux-Arts is devoted to the study of European art, with an emphasis on Romanian art in local and international context. The main section of the journal consists of research papers addressing themes from the Middle Ages to the present. The journal also contains shorter articles, which provide focused contributions to a narrower issue (Notes), a book review section, as well as reviews of exhibitions and conference reports. Thematic issues are published occasionally; they highlight important topics or figures in the field of art history. Most articles are in English and French, but the journal also publishes papers in German, Spanish, Italian.

H i s t o r y. In 1964 was founded the multidisciplinary journal Revue Roumaine d'Histoire de l'Art (RRHA), that covered a variety of topics in the field of arts. Six years later, it was split into two series: one of them promoted the study of art and architecture (RRHA.BA), while the other fostered studies in the history of theatre, music, and cinema (RRHA.TMC).
Revue Roumaine d'Histoire de l'Art. Série Beaux-Arts has been published without interruption since 1970.

F re q u e n c y:  1 issue per year.
